Alexander Spendiaryan House-museum
Alexander Spendiaryan house-museum was founded in 1963 in the house where the composer lived in 1926-1928. It is the first music memorial museum of the republic.
The house building is one of the first apartment buildings of Soviet Armenia, it is included in the state list of historical and cultural monuments of Yerevan as a monument of republican significance. The architect of the building is Nikoghayos Buniatyan.
The collection of more than 1,404 museum pieces displayed in the museum includes personal belongings of the composer and his family, documents, photographs, letters that tell about the composer's life and activities, creative creations.
Museum exhibition is presented in the "Life Path" and "Creative Path" halls and is equipped with the latest technologies. Visitors can try their conducting abilities through the interactive program "Virtual Conductor", listen to the sound of the composer's violin, play the Spendiarophone instrument (similar). A great place is devoted to the stage history of the "Almast" opera. Alexander Spendiaryan's office has been preserved, restored exactly as it was during his lifetime.
Traditional events, educational programs, concerts, lectures and seminars are regularly held in the house-museum.
